It was so lovely to see lots of smiley faces on Monday after returning from our Easter break.
This week, we have been re-establishing and reinforcing routines and the children have been working hard in lessons and have adapted well.
In maths, we have been continuing with our fractions topic and have been exploring equivalent fractions and mixed number fractions.
In English, we have written a diary entry for one of the key characters in our class text as part of our “Big Write.” We have also been focusing on our grammar and punctuation.
We enjoyed our history lesson on the Romans and it was also lovely to design some Roman mosaics as part of our art work this week.
In science, we are exploring the topic of sound and had some fun with musical instruments whilst completing our investigations.
In PE, we enjoyed our first session with Sheffield United. The children were learning some football skills.
We also had RE, music and ICT with Mrs Coles and Mrs Sadler.
We have had a busy week!
We hope you have a restful weekend. It looks like it will be sunny!
From the Year 4 team.
